The most powerful methods in genomics are locked behind R and the command line. To run a standard differential-expression analysis, a researcher is expected to install a package manager, resolve dependency conflicts, download reference genomes, build alignment indexes, and stitch together half a dozen command-line tools — before a single result appears. Reproducing even a routine, well-documented analysis can take a full day of environment setup. The science waits while the tooling is wrestled into place.
We think that's backwards. Expertise in molecular biology shouldn't require a degree in computer science. Haritica is a visual desktop app that runs real, peer-reviewed methods through a point-and-click interface — the same algorithms a computational biologist would reach for, with the setup, environment management, and reference data handled for you. You go from raw FASTQ to publication-grade figures without writing a line of R.
It is local-first by design: your data is processed on your own machine, where it stays private. When a job grows beyond what your laptop can handle, opt-in cloud compute is there to scale it — never silently, always your choice. We're a small team of bioinformaticians and engineers, and we build Haritica for the researcher who would rather spend the afternoon on the biology than on the toolchain.
If Haritica can't reproduce the field's reference result on public data, we don't ship the analysis.
